This page explains what data the Khatwa website collects and how we use and protect it.
Orders
When you order from the store we keep your name, phone number and email address, the address and emirate if you choose delivery, the products and sizes, the payment method and any note you write. We use them only to confirm, prepare and deliver the order and to exchange sizes. Nothing is paid on the website; you pay on delivery or pickup, in cash or by card.
Exchanges and returns
When you ask to exchange a size or return a pair we keep the order number, the reason and the new size, so we can arrange the driver’s visit and work out any refund.
Accounts and the contact form
- Customer accounts: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), addresses and order history.
- The contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, kept in the website’s dashboard. Chats on WhatsApp are also covered by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and what your browser keeps
We use only the cookies we need: for signing in, for keeping your cart during your visit and for protecting forms from automated messages. Your browser also keeps a copy of the cart to speed pages up. We use no tracking or advertising tools, and you can clear all of this by deleting this site’s data in your browser.
Retention and your rights
Orders are kept for five years for accounting, as the law requires, and contact messages for twelve months. You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or the deletion of your account at any time from the contact page, and we reply within thirty days.
